CREAL SPRINGS – A traffic stop on Union Street in Creal Springs late Monday night led to two people being arrested and cited on drug-related charges.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says Michelle L. Choate was cited for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Adult Use Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle and Failure to Signal When Required.

Michael K. Mitchell was cited for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

They were both lodged in the Williamson County Jail.

Deputies stopped the couple just before 11:40 p.m. when they saw the vehicle Choate was driving commit a few traffic violations. Mitchell was her passenger.

During the stop they found contraband in the vehicle.

A subsequent search of the vehicle located a white crystal like substance which later field tested positive for meth.
