CHRISTOPHER – James “Jumpin Jim” T. Jenkins, 79, of Christopher, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Franklin Hospital in Benton, IL.

He was born on June 8, 1945, in Centralia, IL, to William and Agnes (Hayes) Jenkins. He married Gloria (Waller) Jenkins on July 23, 1999, and she survives of Christopher.

He is also survived by his children, Bradley (Sue) Johnson of St. Charles, MO, and Shelley (Donnie) Baine of Mulkeytown; grandchildren, Katelynn Baine and Madison Baine; one brother, William “Billy” Jenkins of Sandoval, IL; and two sisters-in-law, Linda Jenkins of Kerrville, TX, and Vivian Turner of Energy, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Steven Jenkins.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 11 a.m., at the Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher, with Zip Biby officiating.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Donor’s Choice, and will be accepted at the funeral home.
