MT. VERNON – Two new Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies were sworn in during a ceremony Monday at the Jefferson County Courthouse in Mt. Vernon.

Sheriff Jeff Bullard says Adam Hall and Justin Titzer were sworn in by County Clerk Joseph Davis. Both were hired through the lateral transfer program, which recruits experienced officers from other agencies.

Prior to joining the sheriff’s office, Hall served as Okawville’s Police Chief, and Titzer was Police Chief in Enfield. Both deputies will complete a modified field training program before beginning solo patrol.

The sheriff’s office welcomes their expertise to the team.
