CARBONDALE – An argument between two people in a relationship turned into a shooting early Saturday morning in Carbondale.

Carbondale Police responded to the 100 block of South Lark Lane around 12:50 a.m. where a man reported being shot at by a woman during their argument. She missed hitting him.

Police found the woman identified as 43-year-old Tiffani M. Baxter of Carbondale in the area and arrested her without incident. The firearm and other evidence was seized.

Baxter was charged with Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm without a FOID, and Theft. She was incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail, pending a detention hearing.

Carbondale Police continue to investigate.
