DAHLGREN – Troy Lee Lueke, age 59, a resident of Dahlgren, IL, passed away Monday, November 4, 2024, at the Hamilton Memorial Hospital Emergency Room in McLeansboro, IL.
Troy was born in McLeansboro, IL, on May 31, 1965. He was a son of Paul Louis and Frances Kay (Karcher) Lueke. Troy married Kimberly Jo Prather on November 29, 1985, in Piopolis, IL.
Troy was a farmer and attended First General Baptist Church of McLeansboro, IL. Growing up he attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Piopolis. He liked to hunt and fish but most of all he enjoyed playing with his grandchildren. He also loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly; his children, Bryce Lueke and wife, Breann, Blairsville, IL, and Levi Lueke and wife, Tori, Piopolis, IL; his sisters, Veta Swires and husband, Bill, Mt Vernon, IL, and Connie Lee and husband, Brad, Norris City, IL. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Brylee Lueke, Brynlee Lueke and Branlee Lueke; along with his in-laws, Jerry and Nancy Prather, McLeansboro, IL. Several nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Troy was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and infant grandson, Barrett Paul Lueke.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 5-8 p.m., at the First General Baptist Church, McLeansboro, with the funeral on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 11 a.m., at the church. The church doors will open at 8 a.m. Friday. Pastor Tim Jones will officiate the service.
Burial will be at Blooming Grove Cemetery, McLeansboro, IL
