CREAL SPRINGS – A man has been cited for multiple offenses including possessing meth and a controlled substance following a traffic stop around 8:30 Thursday night in Creal Springs.
The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says Benjamin S. Murphy is lodged in the Williamson County Jail not only for possessing meth and Tramadol – a schedule 4 controlled substance – but for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving while License Suspended, Improper Lane Usage and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle.
Deputies saw Murphy commit a traffic violation and stopped him. They found he had a suspended driver’s license and was taken into custody.
A search of Murphy’s person found a plastic bag containing Tramadol and a plastic container which held a white crystal like substance that later field tested positive for meth. A glass pipe commonly used to smoke methamphetamine was also found in the vehicle.
