WEST FRANKFORT – Peggy Juanell Hedgpeth, 83, of West Frankfort, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Gateway Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

She was born on October 18, 1940, in Carbon Hill, Alabama, to Wilburn and Bernice (Willcutt) Files. She was a member of the West City Church of God.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husbands, Donald Adams and Thomas Hedgpeth; parents, sister, Eleeta Pierce; and brother, Lee Files.

She is survived by her daughters, Tina (Steve) Machura, Constance “Connie” (Lloyd) Cawvey, Terry Adams (James Coins), and Dawn (Richard) McElroy; sons, Donald (Debra) Adams and Clarence “Woody” Tracy (Melissa Kay Hodges); 20 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort at 2 p.m., with Pastor Harol Whitlock officiating.

Interment will be in the Denning Cemetery on the Orient Road.

Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
