CHRISTOPHER – IDOT says Yellow Banks Road, between Illinois 148 and Andy’s Road, in the Christopher area will be closed Tuesday for the memorialization ceremony of Illinois 148 through Christopher as the Firefighter Kody M. Vanfossan Memorial Highway.

The closure will run from 9 a.m. to noon. Message boards will be in place to direct traffic.

Vanfossen lost his life in the line of duty during a multi-alarm commercial building fire on West Market Street in Christopher on Sunday, May 5, 2019.

The public is invited to attend the ceremony.
