BENTON – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office released the following information on Monday, Aug. 5, 2024. 

7-27-24 Adessa J. Briggs, age 23, of Benton was issued a traffic citation for speeding. 

7-30-24 Chase J. Irvin, age 20, of Marion was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident, driving while license suspended, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting a Peace Office. Irvin was also issued a traffic citation for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

7-30-24 Joseph W. Mezo, age 39, of Ina was issued a traffic citation for speeding.

7-31-24 Justin R. Hickam, age 34, of Anna was arrested for forgery and deception on a bank. 

8-2-24 Cassie M. Lee, age 28, of West Frankfort was issued a traffic citation for failure to wear a seat belt. 

8-2-24 Katie M. Walton, age 31, of Marion was issued a traffic citation for speeding. 

8-2-24 Maria L. Hill, age 29, of Goreville was issued a traffic citation for speeding. 

8-2-24 Wesley W. Walker, age 37, of Benton was issued a traffic citation for no valid registration. 

8-2-24 Joseph A. Rone, age 42, of Benton was arrested for failure to register as a sex offender. 

8-3-24 Hunter M. Moss, age 19, of Benton was issued a traffic citation for speeding. 

8-3-24 Justin C. Moffatt, age 29, of Christopher was arrested for driving while license suspended. Moffatt was also issued a traffic citation for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. 

8-4-24 Corey T. Plymale, age 33, of Lonoke, AR, was arrested for domestic battery and obstructing identification.

8-4-24 Joshua B. Steely, age 38, of Coello was arrested for domestic battery and unlawful interference with the reporting of domestic battery. 

WARRANT ARRESTS

7-30-24 Brett C. Coulter, age 34, of Carbondale. Failure to appear for possession of a controlled substance.

8-2-24 William A. Reed, age 49, of Carterville. Failure to appear for retail theft.

8-4-24 Collin R. Bowers, age 20, of Carbondale. Failure to appear for speeding 35+ over the speed limit. 

The public is reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
