MARION – Five people have been arrested in connection with a home burglary that happened at the same location in Williamson County three times last month.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says they are Dakota Burford, Leslie Williams, Joshua Devardo, Jonathon Inchcliff, and Makesha Pritchett. They were all cited for Residential Burglary, transported to, and remanded into the custody of the Williamson County Jail. Additional charges have been referred to the Jackson County State’s Attorney for criminal prosecution.  

On July 13, the sheriff’s office responded to the report of a residential burglary in the 4000 block of Illinois Route 148. The home was burglarized again on July 23 and July 27.

During the burglaries, the suspects removed a large amount of household appliances and other items. As a result, Investigators placed surveillance devices on the property and the home owner installed tracking devices on remaining personal household items. 

On July 28, using tracking device data Investigators were able to locate stolen items at an address on South Giant City Road in Carbondale. Then around 5:15 that afternoon, the sheriff’s office executed a search warrant on the Carbondale home.

The search warrant resulted in the recovery of a large amount of the stolen property, additional property believed stolen, and the arrest of three suspects on scene.

The items included a washer, dryer, dishwasher, oven, 3-piece couch set, TV, and numerous other items. The three individuals located in the home were taken to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office for questioning.

Using surveillance images from the scene of the residential burglary, investigators were able to determine that two additional suspects were involved.

The sheriff’s office says this remains an ongoing investigation. Investigators are attempting to locate additional stolen property.
