MARION – Williamson County Sheriff deputies stopped a man Wednesday and cited him for multiple offenses in connection with concerned citizens calls spanning several counties.
The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says Brandon S. Poe was cited for Driving While License Suspended, Operating an Uninsured Vehicle, and Operation of a Vehicle without Evidence of Registration.
Deputies discovered that the driver was the subject of numerous calls to law enforcement and social media posts related to Poe’s door-to-door meat sales activities which spanned several counties. These reports included that the driver of the vehicle, a white truck, was acting aggressively.
Deputies also became aware of an earlier incident in Johnson County where Poe is alleged to have intentionally struck an individual with his vehicle. As a result Poe was issued a citation for Aggravated Battery by Johnson County deputies.
Poe was transported to the Williamson County Jail. Unfortunately, due to the SAFE-T Act, he was released with a notice to appear in court.
Citizens are encouraged to contact their local law enforcement agency if they have concerns about door-to-door sales activities.
