CARBONDALE – Carbondale Police have released the identity of the person killed in a weekend stabbing.

Police say it’s 31-year-old Traeshonne D. Blythe of Carbondale.

Police were called to a disturbance in the 500 block of East Sycamore around 2:50 a.m. Saturday.

Their investigation revealed that no one was a victim of a gunshot wound as was initially reported. The names of other individuals involved in this incident are not being released at this time as they have not been charged with any offenses. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
