MARION – The highly anticipated Pinto 8U International Baseball Classic is back for its third year, taking place at Mtn Dew Park and Ray Fosse Park from Friday, July 12th to Sunday, July 14th. This event will bring together 32 teams, including 10 international teams from six different countries, alongside regional and national teams, showcasing young baseball talent from around the globe.

The tournament format divides the 32 teams into two divisions, each consisting of four pools with four teams. Teams will arrive and check in on Thursday, with a skills competition set to kick off the festivities and provide an exciting start to the weekend. The first pitch is scheduled for Friday morning at 9 am, marking the beginning of an action-packed series of games leading up to the championship and consolation championship games on Sunday.

“We’re excited to have this tournament back in Marion, Illinois for another year,” says chairperson Rachel Stroud. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for young athletes to compete and for our community to come together and welcome visitors from near and far.”
