OKAWVILLE (WMIX) – Former Okawville Police Chief Thomas Adam Hall has been terminated from his position by the Village of Okawville following his arrest last month on a domestic battery charge.
According to court records, the 40-year-old Hall was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery causing bodily harm in connection with incidents on Feb. 22 and 23.
Charging documents say Hall allegedly grabbed a female by the wrists, pushed her against the wall, and then placed his forearm against her neck, leaving red marks.
Hall was subsequently arrested and taken to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office where he was once employed.
Records show he was placed on administrative leave without pay on Feb. 25 and formally terminated on March 11, just days after he was asked to resign.
Hall informed the court he would attempt to hire an attorney. A status hearing in the case is scheduled for April 16.
