JOHNSTON CITY – Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies arrested and cited a man on drug-related charges following an incident Friday in Johnston City.
According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, Gavin M. Mohring was cited for Possession of Methamphetamine (Class 3 Felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor). He was taken to and lodged in the Williamson County Jail.
Around 7:10 p.m. Friday, deputies saw Mohring, an individual with an outstanding arrest warrant, at the front of a home located in the 800 block of Barham Avenue in Johnston City. Upon observing, deputies approached Mohring. He fled into the home and deputies pursued. Mohring was taken into custody without further incident.
Deputies saw a digital scale, drug paraphernalia, and residue which later field tested positive for Methamphetamine inside the home. Mohring refused deputies request for consent to search the home stating, “get a search warrant.” Deputies secured the home, maintained a perimeter, and obtained a search warrant.
A search of the home resulted in the recovery of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
