BENTON – An official GoFundMe page has been created to raise money for funeral expenses for the families of three teens killed in a crash Saturday night near Benton.

Benton Mayor Lee Messersmith created the page, saying right now things are hard enough for the families dealing with their losses.

The page was created to provide some support and relief to the families, to help with funeral expenses and to donate a memorial in each of their memories.

According to Messersmith, funds collected will be distributed equally to the funeral homes as well as some funds to help Benton Illinois Volunteer Group From Passion To Action donate three memorial benches for Benton Consolidated High School.

Landen Agnitsch, Bradley Williams and Joecy Padavic were killed in Saturday’s crash that sent two other teens to regional hospitals for treatment of serious injuries.

A candlelight vigil was held Sunday night at Benton’s Tabor Field to show support for those affected by this tragedy and to help the community mourn its loss.
