MARION/CARBONDALE – State Senator Dale Fowler has teamed up with State Representatives Paul Jacobs and Patrick Windhorst to bring two Free Senior Health Fairs to southern Illinois. The events will be held back-to-back Tuesday and Wednesday in Marion and Carbondale.
“Seniors are incredibly important to our community and I’m excited to host two free Senior Health Fairs this fall as I realize the impact an event of this size has across my district,” said Senator Fowler. “This is a great opportunity for area seniors to receive free screenings, helpful literature, and connect with local senior service agencies.”
The Marion Senior Fair will be held Tuesday at The HUB Recreation Center, located at 917 West Main Street in Marion, from 9 to 11 a.m.
“I look forward to our senior citizens health and wellness fair every year because it presents me with the opportunity to hear directly from seniors and work directly with health care and senior services providers to connect our citizens with services that they need,” Windhorst said. “I hope all who can make it enjoy a great senior fair!”
The Carbondale Senior Fair will be held on Wednesday at the Carbondale Civic Center, located at 200 S. Illinois Ave. in Carbondale, from 9 to 11 a.m.
“I’m looking forward to a great crowd, great conversations, and some excellent prizes being given out to our local senior citizens as they gather knowledge and access resources that are locally available,” Rep. Jacobs said. “Come out and enjoy!”
Legislative support staff will also be on hand to help those in attendance with any state government related matters they may have.
