Testing Dates Set for Upcoming Positions at Saline County Sheriff’s Office

HARRISBURG – The Saline County Merit Commission will be holding tests to fill future and/or upcoming positions at the Saline County Sheriff’s Office. The Saline County Merit Commission is responsible for maintaining an active list of candidates for potential hires within the Saline County Sheriff’s Office. Those positions include telecommunicators, correctional officers and deputy sheriffs.

Monday Night Fight Lands Benton Woman in Jail

BENTON – A Benton woman was arrested and charged for aggravated battery and criminal damage to property after Benton Police were sent to the 600 block of Dial Street in reference to a fight in progress just before 6 Monday night. Paving Work Happening on IL 242 at Blairsville Road in Hamilton County

MCLEANSBORO – IDOT says there will be lane and width reductions on Illinois 242 at Blairsville Road today and tomorrow because construction crews will be paving shoulders. IDOT had requested that farm implements seek alternate routes due to the restrictions. You should watch for stopped traffic and construction workers in the work zone.
