Marion City Council Approves Changing Time for City Council Meetings

MARION – The Marion City Council Monday night passed an ordinance changing the time when it meets for regular city council meeting.

According to the ordinance, the regular city council meetings shall be held in the council chambers on the second and fourth Monday evening of each month at 5:30 p.m. Meetings were being held on those Monday’s at 6:30 p.m.

If the city council meeting falls on a holiday recognized by the United States or the state of Illinois, it will be held the following day at 5:30 p.m. in the council chambers.
