Two of Three Inmates Who Escaped from Inmate Bus in West City Captured

WEST CITY – Two of the three inmates who escaped from a private inmate transportation company bus in West City Friday have been captured.

West City Police Chief Scott Choisser told the Southern Illinoisan Charles L. Kelly and Randall W. Napier have been accounted for and Alonzo D. Young is still at large.

Young is described as a 24-year-old black man standing 5’11” tall weighing 140 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.

The private inmate transportation company informed police around 5:15 Friday afternoon that three inmates had escaped from their bus during a routine stop, which included the parking lot at the West City McDonald’s.
